...shouldn't we help these people? [talking about the Somalis]

Yes, we should. We are all part of Humanity. But do we help, or hurt, by dropping bombs? Ask the families of those innocents who recently perished in the latest bomb. Sure, we killed some important al-Qa'ida operatives. But we also made more mortal enemies in the course of suddenly ending several quite innocent lives. Is this moral? Just? Does it "help" the Somalis? Or are we feeding the flames of hatred, for right or wrong? That's what foreign interventionism does: cost lives, feed hatred, and lead to more of the same... And this makes us more safe? This "helps" the Somalis? The best way to help Somalis, in the long run, is to be a beacon of Liberty. Even the worst of warlords can't last forever when up against the big L.
